In the case of immunity donation (also antibody donation), blood donation is used to obtain antibodies from cured infected people, to use them for prevention or to transfer them to an acutely ill patient.

The antibody donation has already been used successfully for various diseases. Swine and bird flu, Spanish flu, measles, polio and mumps have already been dammed in the past.
